The Otago Institute is pleased to announce the date and speakers for the 2020 edition of our annual lecture “Inside the Nobel”. In this event, six speakers will have six minutes each to speak about the importance of this year’s Nobel prizes. The 2020 speakers are:

• MARTIN PHILLIPPS – Singer/songwriter, The Chills
• DR SARAH DIERMEIER – Department of Biochemistry, U. Otago
• PROF JÖRG FRAUENDIENER – Department of Mathematics and Statistics, U. Otago
• ROBYN MAREE PICKENS – Art writer, poet, curator, and text-based practitioner
• DR SUNGYONG LEE – National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, U. Otago
• PROF. RONALD PEETERS – Department of Economics, U. Otago

We are excited about the different backgrounds and specialties of our speakers and can’t wait to hear what they have to say about the 2020 Nobel Prizes.

The event will be held on Thursday December 10th at the Hutton Theatre, Otago Museum. We will also set up live-streaming for those that cannot make it in person.
