NEW DATE – 2020 What’s Hot lecture – special edition

Due to the evolving COVID situation we have changed the date for the What’s Hot lecture series. The new date is Thursday 1st of October. Unfortunately, again due to COVID-19, we will be holding this as a LIVESTREAM only event. While we recognise that we will possibly be in low restrictions we wish to emphasise the safety of our community by reducing possibilities for the transmission of the virus.

We are extremely excited to announce a special edition of our What’s Hot lecture series. The theme for this year is What’s Hot: Live after COVID-19. For most of us, COVID-19 has been the biggest event of 2020 and has ramifications across many facets of lifes. Accordingly, our three speakers this year will cover life after COVID-19 from three different perspectives.

  • Assoc. Prof. Siouxsie Wiles – The pandemic: where are we at and where to from here
  • Metiria Turei – Arting in a lockdown: recover, reflect, recreate
  • Prof. Lisa Ellis – That’s so BCV! Politics and economics after COVID-19
