We are delighted to announce that the Otago Institute now sponsors a second premier prize at the Aurora Science and Technology fair, focussed on Mātauraka Māori! The prize is worth $300 and is to be awarded for a science project that contains a significant Mātauraka Māori component or addresses an area which is of particular interest or concern for Māori [articulated in the project], OR for a project that explores science in te reo Māori, at any level, and across disciplines.

We are really excited to see what projects our rangatahi present and especially excited to see Mātauraka Māori encouraged in our region!
